Kudos not posting in Slack or Microsoft Teams

Matter includes 10 default kudos types: Amazing job, Cheers, Impressive, Inclusive, Keep it up, Meowow, Team player, Thoughtful, Thank you and To the moon.

Default kudos templates, cards and types

All members can use the 10 built-in kudos templates and custom ones by default. In Settings, Kudos, use a template's three dots to make it Admins Only.

Kudos templates permissions

Add emojis to kudos in Slack or Microsoft Teams with emoji shortcuts (fn + e on Mac, Windows key + period), or paste them from a chat draft or Emojipedia.

Adding emojis to kudos

Choose who can send private kudos: All Members, Admins Only or No Members, under Settings, General (Channel Settings on Enterprise Grid). Default is all.

Private kudos permissions

Delete any default or custom kudos template in the web app: go to Settings, Kudos, click the ... button next to the kudos, choose Delete, then Yes, Delete.

Delete default kudos templates

By default all members can create custom kudos. Limit it to Admins Only in the web app under Settings, General, Custom Kudos Permissions.

Sending kudos in Slack

Delete a test or unwanted kudos in Slack: only Slack Workspace Owners and Admins can delete MatterBot messages; deleting a kudos does not reverse coins.

Delete specific Matter posts and kudos in Slack

Send kudos in Microsoft Teams with Matter from the Matter channel, an @Matter mention, the Give Kudos message extension in any chat, or the web app.

Sending kudos in Microsoft Teams

Delete a test or unwanted kudos in Microsoft Teams: a Teams admin first allows users to delete bot messages in the admin center, then delete it there.

Kudos notifications permissions for Microsoft Teams

This prototype demo is aware that you are reading “{title}”. It can point you back to the current article, but a production article-aware Fin contract is still follow-up work.

Prototype article-aware answer

Because you already asked about invitations, this prototype demo can add the follow-up: use the role selector before sending each invite to limit access to the teammate responsibilities.

Prototype role-limiting follow-up

This prototype demo suggests starting with your workspace profile, inviting the team members who need access, and then connecting the integrations you use.

Prototype getting-started answer

In this prototype demo, integrations are configured from workspace settings. Choose the integration, connect the account, and review the enabled permissions.

Prototype integrations answer

In this prototype demo, invite teammates from workspace settings, then choose the access each teammate needs before sending the invitation.

Prototype invite-team answer

This prototype demo does not have a scripted answer for that question yet. Try asking how to invite your team or open a source article. No production Fin API was called.
