Sending kudos in Microsoft Teams

Sending kudos is a perfect way to celebrate wins and recognize your teammates for a job well done. There are many different ways to send kudos. Below are different options for sending recognition.

Option 1: How to Send Kudos in Microsoft Teams via Matter Channel

  1. In the Matter-connected Teams channel, click the Give Kudos button.

  2. Select one or more team members or a group to recognize.

  3. Choose the kudos Type (e.g., Amazing Job, Cheers)

  4. Add your Message.

    1. Note: Messages can include emojis (details here).

    2. Note: The character limit is 600.

  5. Add Coins (optional).

  6. Select the Visibility - Public (default) or Private.

  7. Hit Send.

Option 2: How to Send Kudos in Microsoft Teams via Matter Home Tab

From any channel in your Matter-connected Team, comment @Matter to call Matter. Matter will send the "Give Kudos" button as a reply, click this to open the Give Kudos module. Kudos given anywhere in a team will always land in the Kudos channel of that team.

Option 3: How to Send Kudos from the Web App

  1. Go to the Web App.

  2. Click the Give Kudos icon (handclapping) from the Home page.

  3. Select one or more team members to recognize.

  4. Choose the kudos Type (e.g., Amazing Job, Cheers)

  5. Add your Message.

    1. Note: Messages can include emojis (details here).

  6. Select the Visibility - Public (default) or Private.

  7. Hit Send.
