We all know that recognizing a team member for their contributions makes them feel good about their work and its impact on company culture.
But what do we do if someone already recognized that contribution with a kudos? Send another kudos with same recognition? Or what about if someone celebrated a birthday or work anniversary?
While sending another kudos is an option, potentially overloading the channel with the same kudos praise, there's a simplified yet effective way to show your teammate you appreciate them.
Instead, users can add on coins (and recognition) to existing kudos and birthday & work anniversary celebrations. Effectively piling on to existing recognition. It's really simple and fun to do!
Adding on Coins to Existing Kudos and Celebrations
In the Matter-connected Slack or Teams channel, next to the 'Give Kudos' button, click the More button '...'.
Then select Add Coins.
Type in the additional recognition and add coins, and click Send.
Note: For Slack, you can send the message to the Matter-connected Slack channel, which we'd recommend.
Disabling Add On Recognition and Coins
Open the Web App.
Go to the Channel Settings, then the Rewards section.
Under 'Adding On Coins', toggle the button to the disabled state (i.e., greyed out).
