One Matter coin is worth 10 cents: 10 Matter coins (sometimes called points) equal $1 USD, or one unit of your base currency if an admin has changed it in Settings, Rewards, Advanced Settings. So 250 coins buy a $25 gift card, 585 coins are worth $58.50, and the smallest rewards start at 50 coins ($5). Coins cannot be redeemed for cash.

Who can use this: Every member on the Pro and Enterprise plans, or on any plan during the free trial. Works the same for Slack and Microsoft Teams workspaces.

While we can’t change this conversion rate, we can control how many coins team members receive to give away. Use our Rewards Calculator to determine company-wide coin allowances (Default Allowance) based on your budget.

By having a fixed coin conversion rate, this makes it fair if you give coins to team members in different countries because they will be able to redeem it for the equivalent amount in their local currency.
