Why Use Prepay for Rewards?
By default, approved reward requests are charged to your credit card, which includes a 3% processing fee. To avoid this fee and reduce frequent credit card transactions, you can prepay for rewards. Invoicing options (e.g., ACH/wire) are available with Prepay.
Steps to Enable Prepay in Matter
Open the Matter Web App.
Go to Channel Settings and Rewards.
Select Funding Method: Choose Prepay from the available options and click Save.
Final Steps
That's it, Prepay is now enabled. If you haven't already, now would be a good time to fund your account balance by clicking the "Add Funds" button. Matter will send you a message in Slack or Microsoft Teams when your account balance drops below your Balance Alert Threshold.
Important Note:
If you are actively using Matter Rewards at your company, consider adding funds to your account balance before enabling Prepay to avoid any disruptions. Adding funds to your Matter account balance can take up to five business days, sometimes longer. You can add funds using ACH or wire transfer, with wire transfer being much faster.
