Overview

When setting up employee surveys on Matter, you have various options to manage how and when your surveys are delivered and closed. This flexibility allows you to tailor survey administration to fit the specific needs and schedules of your respondents. Below, we detail the options available for delivery, frequency, and closing of surveys.

Delivery Options

Matter provides two primary methods for sending out your employee surveys:

  1. Send Now (Default): This option allows you to launch your survey immediately after creation. It is the default setting and is ideal for timely feedback gathering.

  2. Send On: If you need to schedule your survey for a later date or time, the "Send On" option lets you specify exactly when the survey should be sent out. This is useful for planning surveys in alignment with specific events or deadlines.

Frequency Options

Control how often your survey is sent to participants:

  1. Do Not Repeat (Default): The survey is sent only once and does not repeat. This is the default setting.

  2. Repeating Options: You can set the survey to repeat at a specific frequency—daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly. For daily and weekly frequencies, you can also specify the days of the week on which the survey should be sent. These options are similar to those found in calendar applications like Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar, offering you flexibility in how frequently you engage with your audience.

Closing Options

Decide when your survey should close to further responses:

  1. Keep Survey Open Until 100% Participation: This option keeps the survey open until all invited participants have responded. It ensures maximum participation but may delay the final analysis if some participants are slow to respond.

  2. Close on a Specific Date: With this option, you can set a specific date (dd/mm/yyyy) on which the survey will automatically close. This is beneficial when you need to align the survey closure with project timelines or reporting periods.

By effectively using these delivery and closing options, you can optimize the timing and frequency of your surveys to better suit the needs of both your organization and its members. These settings help ensure that you gather the most relevant and timely data possible, enhancing the impact of your survey results.
