By default, Microsoft Teams grants many permissions to team members, such as the ability to delete a channel. This could lead to an accidental deletion of important channels, like your Matter channel. In this article, we will outline how to restore a deleted Teams channel.
How to Recover a Deleted Microsoft Teams Channel
Option 1 - Inside Microsoft Teams App
Click on the three dots next to the Team Name, then click on Manage Team.
In the newly opened window, click on Channels and then expand Deleted.
Click Restore next to the appropriate channel.
To confirm Matter has been restored properly, send a kudos and confirm it appears in the restored channel.
Option 2 - Inside Microsoft Teams Web Browser
Select Actions in the upper right.
Click View Deleted Teams.
Then select the Deleted Team and restore.
