By default, Microsoft Teams grants many permissions to team members, such as the ability to delete a channel. This could lead to an accidental deletion of important channels, like your Matter channel. How to limit team members from deleting a channel:
Step 1: Click on the three dots next to the Team Name, then click on "Manage Team"
Step 2: In the newly opened window, click on "Settings" and then expand "Member permissions"
Step 3: Uncheck the box next to "Allow members to delete and restore channels"
