There are two workspace levels when it comes to the Enterprise Grid:

  1. Workspace-level

  2. Channel-level

Workspace-level supersedes Channel-level. For example, if someone is an Owner/Admin of the Workspace-level, they will automatically have Admin access to each Channel-level permission.

Enterprise Grid Member Permissions

Workspace-level

  • Owner: All Admin permissions and ability to delete Matter channel.

  • Admin: Full access to all settings, analytics, rewards, and billing.

  • Member: Access based on whether they’re currently in the Matter channel.

Channel-level

  • Channel-Admin: Full access to channel settings.

  • Member: Access based on whether they’re currently in the Matter channel.

Member Permission Details

  • By default, the team member who adds Matter to Slack/Teams first will become the Owner of the Workspace-level. Subsequently, the team member who adds Matter to additional Slack/Teams channels will become the respective Channel Admin at the Channel-level.

    • Any additional team members added will have a Member permission level.

  • Each Workspace-level can only have 1 Owner.

  • Workspace-level and each Channel-level can have unlimited Admins.

  2. Go to Settings.

  3. Then the Members tab.

  4. Find the team member via search or scrolling and click Edit.

  5. In the modal, select the appropriate Member Permission and then hit Save.
