How to update and add Matter workspace Owner and Admins (Non-Enterprise Grid)

Matter Member Permissions

  • Owner: All Admin permissions and ability to delete Matter channel.

  • Admin: Full access to all settings, analytics, rewards, and billing.

  • Member: Access based on whether they’re currently in the Matter channel.

Member Permission Details

  • By default, the person who adds Matter to Slack/Teams will become the Owner. Any additional team members added will have a Member permission level.

  • Each Workspace can only have 1 Owner.

  • Workspaces can have unlimited Admins.

Add / Update Matter Workspace Member Permissions

  1. Open the Web App.

  2. Go to Channel Settings.

  3. Then the Members tab.

  4. Find the team member via search or scrolling and click Edit.

  5. In the modal, select the appropriate Member Permission and then hit Save.
