How to resend a direct reward

Learn how to resend a direct reward in Matter. Admins can resend rewards from the Rewards Manager, and recipients can resend their reward from the original Slack or Microsoft Teams message.

If a recipient did not receive their direct reward notification or accidentally deleted it, the reward can be resent quickly and easily.

Who can use this: Workspace Owners and Admins, and members who received a direct reward, on the Pro and Enterprise plans, or on any plan during the free trial. Works the same for Slack and Microsoft Teams workspaces.

For an overview of the whole feature, read the Rewards Guide. Related articles: Approving and declining reward requests and Change your rewards delivery email address.

There are two ways a direct reward can be resent, depending on the person taking action:

  • Admins: Can resend a reward from the Rewards Manager by opening the original reward order

  • Recipients (Matter Users): Can resend their own reward directly from the Matter message in Slack or Microsoft Teams.

    • Note: If they are external recipients (i.e., non-Matter users), then an Admin will need to resend the reward.

Resending a reward sends a new notification with the same redemption details. No additional budget or points are deducted when a reward is resent.
