Using Matter with Microsoft Copilot

With a Microsoft 365 Copilot license, open Matter with Copilot in Microsoft Teams and ask about kudos, celebrations, rewards, and surveys in plain language.

Using Matter with Microsoft Copilot allows you to instantly surface recognition data, team celebrations, survey insights, reward activity, and much more, all through natural language.

Who can use this: Every member with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license, on every plan. Microsoft Teams only.

Note: A Microsoft 365 Copilot license is required for this ability.

How to Access Matter in Microsoft Copilot

After successfully installing Matter in Microsoft Teams, you'll have the option to "Open with Copilot". From here, you can ask Copilot anything, stay on top of things, find information, etc.

Example Use Cases for Matter in Microsoft Copilot

Below are example Copilot prompts you can use as inspiration to get deeper insights:

  • Kudos:

    • "Show me the most popular kudos types."

    • "Who has not received a kudos?"

    • "Create three kudos messages for me to give to teammates."

  • Celebrations:

    • "Show me the users who haven't added their birthday to Matter."

    • "Who has upcoming work anniversaries this month?"

    • "Create a list of people with the longest tenure at the company."

  • Rewards:

    • "Show my coin balance and remaining allowance."

    • "What gift cards can I redeem my coins for?"

    • "Create a list of the past rewards I've redeemed my coins for."

  • Surveys:

    • "Based on our last pulse survey, what's the best opportunity to improve our company culture?"

    • "What are the latest pulse and eNPS survey results?"

    • "Create a list of the people who didn't complete the last survey."
