Your Brand Kit puts your logo and colors on all your Matter QR Codes and on the page people see after they scan. Admins set it up once in the Matter Web App under Settings, then Brand Kit.
đĄ New to QR Codes? Start with the QR Codes Guide. Brand Kit is included on the Basic, Pro, and Enterprise plans, and is also used for your company swag.
Where your brand shows
QR codes: your Square Mark sits in the center of every code. Without one, codes show the Matter M.
The page people see after a scan: your Square Mark, your company name, and the code's location sit on a band in your Brand Color.
Buttons and links on that page use your Brand Color.
Without a Brand Kit, codes show the Matter M and pages show your company name in Matter's default colors.
Start from your website
Under Start from Your Website, enter your web address, like yourcompany.com.
Click Find My Brand. Matter pulls in your logo and colors. Afterwards the button says Find Again.
Check what it found and change anything you like.
You can also skip this and add your logos and colors yourself.
Add your logos
Square Mark: a square SVG or PNG, at least 512 pixels on each side. Use a bold, dark version of your logo. It shows on your QR codes and at the top of the page people see after a scan.
Wide Logo: an SVG or PNG at least 1000 pixels wide, on a clear or white background.
Your Brand Kit logos are separate from your workspace picture. The workspace picture is your channel avatar, and you change it in Settings, then General.
Pick your colors
Brand Color: buttons, links, and highlights.
Background Tint: the soft background behind your logo on public pages.
Matter picks the text color that goes on top so words stay readable. Until you pick colors, your pages use Matter's default colors.
Save
Click Save. The page people see after a scan uses your updated brand right away. QR codes and swag you already printed don't change.
File rules
PNG or SVG files, 5 MB or smaller.
Square Mark: at least 512 pixels on each side. A logo that isn't square is centered in a square, never stretched or cropped.
Wide Logo: at least 1000 pixels wide.
A light logo on a clear or white background gets a warning, since it can be hard to see on white. You can still save it.
FAQs
Q: Why is there an M in the middle of my QR code?
The M is the Matter M. It shows until you add a Square Mark to your Brand Kit.
Q: Why won't my logo upload?
Check the message under the field. Matter accepts PNG and SVG files of 5 MB or less, and the Square Mark must be at least 512 pixels on each side. If a new file doesn't work, your current logo stays in place.
Q: Will my QR codes still scan with my logo in the middle?
Yes. Matter sets the logo's size and checks that every code scans before you can see or download it.
Q: Do printed codes change when I update my logo?
No. Printed codes keep working and keep the logo they were printed with. The page people see after a scan uses your new brand right away. Download and print the code again to show the new logo on it. Learn how in Where to put your recognition QR codes and link.
Q: Who can edit the Brand Kit?
Only workspace admins can edit the Brand Kit.
