Challenges are a powerful way to encourage engagement, reinforce company values, and reward meaningful action. Here’s how to create a challenge in just a few steps.
1. Open the Challenge Builder
Open the Web App.
Go to Awards Manager, then the Challenges section.
Click the Create Challenge button or edit a preloaded challenge.
2. Build Your Challenge
Part 1: Challenge Details
Name: Make it clear and action-oriented (e.g., "Walk 10,000 Steps").
Description: Explain what participants should do and why it matters.
Image: Add a fun or branded image to make your challenge stand out (2MB max).
Coin Reward (Recommended): Optionally, set how many coins are awarded for successful claims.
Part 2: Challenge Configurations
Evidence: Decide if users must upload a file (e.g., image or PDF).
Max Claims (Total): Limit how many people can successfully claim.
Max Claims (Per Person): Limit how often one person can complete it.
Award Manager(s): Choose who can review claims (they don’t need to be Matter Admins).
Award Manager(s) Notifications: Optionally, Award Manager(s) can be notified in Slack/Teams when a claim is submitted.
Part 3: Challenge Scheduling
Start Date: Choose whether the challenge starts immediately or at a specific time and date.
End Date: You can run the challenge indefinitely or set an end date.
Part 4: Confirm Details and Save
Review the Challenge Award Details and click Save Challenge. Your challenge will now appear in the Manage Challenges list — either in Draft or Active status, depending on the start date.
