Recognizing each other’s hard work is one of the most important things we can do as a team. It strengthens communication, builds trust, and makes people feel truly valued for their contributions.
To make recognition fun and effortless, we’re excited to roll out Matter — right where we work in Slack! 🙌
With Matter, everyone can recognize each other with kudos in the moment and regularly to help build a culture of appreciation. 👉 Watch this quick Overview Video to learn more.
[Rewards - If you are using Rewards]
We are also using Matter’s Rewards feature, which we know you will love!
Give Coins with Kudos: Recognize teammates by sending coins with your kudos. You have been given a coin allowance of [X] coins per [week/month/quarter] to give away, so use it or lose it.
Earn Coins from Recognition: When you receive kudos or celebrations with coins, they are yours to keep. Earned coins are stored in your account until you’re ready to redeem.
Redeem Coins for Rewards: Trade in your coins for gift cards, donations, or other rewards (Note: 10 Coins = $1 USD). Gift cards will be automatically sent via email once a company admin approves the rewards request.
[Celebrations - If you are using Celebrations]
We will be celebrating [birthdays and/or work anniversaries] with Matter’s Celebrations feature.
Birthday Celebrations: Matter will prompt you in Slack to enter your birthdate (month and day only).
Work Anniversary Celebrations: We’ll upload these dates so they’re recognized automatically.
Celebration Messages: On your big day, a message will be posted in [#Channel] so we can celebrate together. If your celebration is on a Saturday/Sunday, it'll be celebrated on the previous Friday during the work week. You’ll also receive [X coins] for birthdays and [X coins] for anniversaries.
