How to Add in Celebration Dates
Upload Celebration Dates via Excel File
Have Matter Ask Team Members
Automatically Ask For Celebration Dates (New Users Only)
Manually Add via Members Tab
All Members: Manually Add Date
Option 1: Upload Celebration Dates
Open the Web App.
Go to Channel Settings.
Then Celebrations tab.
Under either the Birthday or Work Anniversary section click Click here to download an Excel file to complete. This will download a file of all workspace members and what dates have been added and who is missing a date.
Fill in the missing dates and re-upload by clicking Upload File.
Option 2: Have Matter Ask Team Members
Open the Web App.
Go to Channel Settings.
Then Celebrations tab.
Under either the Birthday or Work Anniversary section click Ask Members.
Note: If you click Ask Members in the Birthday section, Matter will ask for Birthdays. Vice versa with Work Anniversaries.
Option 3: Automatically Ask For Celebration Dates (New Users Only)
Open the Web App.
Go to Channel Settings.
Then Celebrations tab.
Under either the Birthday or Work Anniversary section click "✔️", then hit Save.
Note: Team members will be asked to enter in celebration dates 24 hours after being added to the workspace. They will only be asked during Monday-Friday business hours.
Option 4: Add Dates via the Members Tab
Open the Web App.
Go to Channel Settings.
Then Members tab.
Find the team member via search or scrolling and click Edit to the right of their name.
Add in the dates to the individual member and hit Save.
Option 5: All Members: Add Dates via the Members Tab
Open the Web App.
Go to Account Settings.
Then Celebrations tab.
Add in the desired dates.
Click the Save button to confirm changes.
