Which languages does Matter support?

Matter's app, web app, bot messages and default templates are in English. Pro and Enterprise customers can request other languages; surveys use any.

Matter runs in English: the Slack and Microsoft Teams app, the web app, MatterBot's messages and the default kudos templates and pulse survey questions are all in English. Pro and Enterprise customers can ask for additional languages; email support@matterapp.com with the language you need. Employee and onboarding surveys can be written in any language.

Who can use this: everyone. Additional languages are available on request to Workspace Owners and Admins on the Pro and Enterprise plans.

What is in English and what you can write yourself

  • In English: menus and settings, MatterBot's channel posts and direct messages, Feedback Friday prompts, the default kudos templates, celebration messages and the pulse survey question library.

  • Any language: the questions and answer options in employee surveys and onboarding surveys, which you write yourself.

Requesting another language

If your team needs Matter in another language, email support@matterapp.com with your workspace name and the language. Additional languages are offered on request on the Pro and Enterprise plans.

Currency is separate from language

Coin values use one base currency per workspace (USD, GBP, EUR, CAD, AUD, NZD, CHF or SGD), and members redeem rewards from the catalog for their own country whatever language they work in. Base currency for Matter coins
