How to change the Slack bot name for Matter

Rename MatterBot in Slack: open Matter in the Slack Marketplace, go to Configuration, Bot User, click Edit, enter the new name, and click Save Changes.

With proper workspace permissions, you can change the name of the Slack bot app in the Slack configuration settings section.

Rename the bot in Slack

  1. Go to Matter in the Slack Marketplace.

  2. Select the Configuration tab.

  3. Scroll down to the Bot User section.

  4. If allowed, click the Edit button.

  5. Rename the bot and click Save Changes.
